Albatroz Engenharia was present at Session 42 of Conseil Internacional des Grands Réseaux Eléctriques to present its Power Line Maintenance Inspection solution (PLMI).

Albatroz participated both at Study Committees B2 Session on August 26^th and the Technical Exhibition throughout the week.

TECHNICAL MEETING OF STUDY COMMITTEE B2

Albatroz Engineering and Labelec submitted a report on "Geographical Information Tools for Overhead Lines Preventive Maintenance" and addressed two questions presented by the Special Reporter:

Question 2.1

What are some of the innovative or modern diagnostic tools, GIS data management and or testing techniques used by utilities to ascertain the serviceability of lines and line components?

Question 2.2

How are utilities using or proposed to use GIS and perhaps pollution mapping of existing lines to determine long term serviceability of components? What type of laboratory tests are being carried out to provide correlation of field samples to predict residual life of components? How are component degradation data sets being used in conjunction with GIS to assist in preventative maintenance programs?

TECHNICAL EXHIBITION

Albatroz Engineering showed a running demonstration of synchronous & geo-referenced recording of video, LiDAR and GPS coordinates.

The image below shows a projected image of the airborne interface showing a mosaic of multiple video data streams. On the right there are buttons and selectors, designed to respond to airborne inspection procedures needs.
