ALBATROZ ENGINEERING PRESENTS SOFTWARE DEVELOPED IN MATLAB AT "The MathWorks" Seminar

Albatroz Engineering presented recent software enhancements for its power line inspection software developed in the Matlab environment as an example of the practical applications of Matlab.
The seminar focused on connectivity with external data sources and exporting Matlab results to other environments.
The distribution of Matlab applications to clients or users who do not have Matlab by creating executables was also addressed.

About the Presentation
POWER LINE MAINTENANCE INSPECTION
Alberto Vale, responsible for algorithm development, delivered the presentation on the work performed at Albatroz Engineering.
The presentation highlighted several aspects of the signal processing and heuristic algorithm development process used for the overhead power line inspection software.
The development steps, the Matlab tools used and the transition to other platforms were also elaborated.
The Matlab tools were used not only in algorithm prototyping but also in the data visualization interfaces. Examples were shown in Matlab with external links to Geographical Information Systems (using Google Earth™ as a reference), HTML, GPS navigation software and Microsoft Excel.
The track clearance inspection data analysis application and the report generation routine are a good example of a compiled tool that was distributed to clients by creating executables.
